About Us
My primary focus has been working with couples/marriages/intimate partners dealing with relationship issues. Relationships are difficult, especially when there is a threat of separation and/or divorce. In therapy, I help facilitate a road for connectedness between the couple to work their way back toward each other and develop a satisfying and loving relationship. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive training in emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and Gottman therapy for couples, which has been referred to as the “Gold Standard” evidence based treatment for couples.
My approach to helping individuals is centered in offering a safe and supportive space where change can be cultivated with confidence and guidance. When life becomes too stressful, change may seem daunting, but I am here to help you navigate that journey. If you're ready to pursue a life of hope, balance, health, and peace, I can assist you in reaching your goals. Change occurs when you feel supported and empowered.
In therapy, I work closely with you, building a relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and competence. This relationship is marked by honest communication and interventions tailored to your specific needs.

Philosophy
Who you are is informed by a combination of factors. This includes your relationships, your experiences, and your genetics. Additionally, your strengths as well as your struggles have an impact. Of these, experiences and relationships tend to be the focus of therapy. That is because your life experiences and your interactions tend to inform who you are, how you think, and what you do. Thus, in in-person therapy we will explore your experiences. Together, we will link them
to your strengths, your challenges, your pain, and your hopes.
My primary approach to therapy is centered on the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives, and I serve as a supportive guide. My therapeutic style is aimed at fostering selfunderstanding and helping clients navigate life's challenges. I also work from a trauma-informed perspective, incorporating neurobiological approaches such as EMDR for healing for individual therapy.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can express themselves freely. Using active listening and gentle challenges when needed, I offer guidance and support while also using humor to keep things light and to encourage clients not to take themselves too seriously. We will laugh and cry together in sessions.
In my practice, I focus on clients' strengths and help them build upon them. I am an affirming ally for gender-expansive clients and an advocate for their needs across various aspects of life. My work is informed by anti-racist principles, and I continuously educate myself on these topics.
Therapy is a process that requires active participation and investment from both the client and their support network. By making small changes and learning how to cope with negative feelings, clients can achieve transformative results. I am here to support clients on their journey towards hope, balance, health, and peace, offering a structured and effective approach to healing relationships and personal growth.
COUPLES THERAPY
If you are finding yourself dissatisfied with the current state of your relationship, therapy may be the answer. I guide my clients using various methods to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex matters. In relationships where partners are struggling to feel heard, couples therapy provides a safe space to explore the changes that may come as a result and how it will affect each person. For relationships that are not heterosexual, I use an affirming approach that recognizes the differences and challenges experienced by gay and lesbian couples.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep passion for helping couples navigate challenges, heal from emotional wounds, and cultivate growth and deeper connections in their relationships. My mission is to guide partners toward a more fulfilling, harmonious relationship, where both individuals feel heard, valued, and understood.
In my therapeutic approach, I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, two evidence-based modalities that are highly effective in strengthening relationships. Through EFT, I help couples understand and shift the emotional patterns that keep them disconnected, while fostering emotional safety and closeness. With the Gottman Method, I provide couples with practical tools for improving communication, managing conflict constructively, and building lasting trust and intimacy.
I approach every session with empathy, open-mindedness, and unconditional positive regard, creating a safe space where both partners can express themselves freely and without judgment. I believe that each relationship is unique, and I work collaboratively with both individuals to identify shared goals, whether they are seeking to repair past hurts, improve communication, or build a stronger emotional bond.
By fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding, I empower couples to take ownership of their relationship and work together to create the partnership that is not only healthy but deeply rewarding. It is my privilege to walk alongside couples as they grow, heal, and rediscover the love and connection that brought them together.
